A simple onboarding guide for getting from Discord to your first real scene without skipping the rules or wondering what comes next.

The point is to get people comfortable enough to jump in and build their name.
BEFORE YOU JOIN
- Join the TrueProjects Discord and read announcements.
- Read the complete city rulebook.
- Submit your whitelist application if whitelist is active.
- Make sure FiveM and GTA V are updated and working normally.
- Use a working microphone and reasonable audio levels for voice RP.
BUILD A CHARACTER, NOT A LOADOUT
Start with a simple concept you can actually play. Give the character a reason to meet people, a few strengths, a few flaws and goals that can change over time. You do not need a movie-length backstory.
- What does your character want right now?
- What are they afraid of losing?
- How do they make money?
- Who do they trust too easily?
- What would make them change direction?
YOUR FIRST HOUR
Do not sprint straight to the most profitable mechanic. Learn the city through people. Find transportation, talk to locals, ask about jobs, meet a business owner and let your character discover information naturally.
MEET PEOPLE
Connections are the real progression system.

Ask characters instead of using OOC knowledge.
LEAVE HOOKS
Give other people a reason to remember you.

WHAT SEMI-SERIOUS MEANS HERE
You can have funny characters and wild moments. You can fail, get embarrassed, start drama and make bad decisions. What you cannot do is use “semi-serious” as permission to ignore escalation, troll scenes, meta, RDM, exploit mechanics or treat every conflict like a deathmatch.
WHEN YOU NEED HELP
I think somebody broke a rule during my scene.
Keep the scene moving when practical, save a clip, then use Support with the relevant context. Do not turn the active scene into an OOC argument.
My application is not submitting.
The static website always keeps a local draft. Use Copy Application or Download .TXT and submit it through the appropriate Discord ticket.
I found an exploit or duplication bug.
Stop reproducing it once you understand the issue and report it privately through Support. Do not spread the method.
